My mom and I visited the city market yesterday, which is filled with local venders. There is everything from bakeries & sweet shops to fresh veggies & fish. During cruise ship season the market is super busy, so it was nice to go during the day when it's much calmer. There are a lot of shops that cater towards the tourism market, selling things like maritime clothing, maple syrup, dulse and lobster. it's nice to go visit every now and then, it's always very relaxing. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon with my mom!

They have a Java Moose when you first enter the market and I always have to fight the urge to not buy a coffee and a square; in my opinion they make the best coffee - not too strong but still has flavour. My first stop was at one of the bakeries because I was on the hunt for some macaroons, but they didn't have any, so I bought a lemon square instead (which was delicious). But then I spotted macaroons at another bakery and of course had to buy some (five to be exact) and I had to try their watermelon gelato because its colour drew me in. There is this lovely shop that sells sterling silver jewelry and if there is one thing you need to know about me it's that I love sterling silver rings. So I always stop there and drool over all the rings that I can't afford, haha. But I think I'll have to go back because I have my eye on one in particular, I guess i can't always restrain myself!
